Wow this wine… It has officially taken its spot on the podium as best QPR Chablis. It is just the archetype of everything I look for. Perfumed, mineral, acid, wax and a touch of honey. Truly a benchmark for the region. Drinks like Dauvissat for $35.

Patrick Piuze's 2019 Terroir de Chablis (sourced from two parcels close to the Premier Cru Montmains vineyard) is a light-to-medium golden Chardonnay that deserves to be served at no lower than cellar temperature. Highly aromatic, it offers a gorgeous olfactory profile of white peaches, clementines, spiced baked apples and wet stones. Medium-bodied, unoaked and with excellent lift, it delivers flavors in line with the aromas. The wine's alcohol (listed as 13%) is a non-factor, which remains true even as it approaches room temperature. Dense on the mid-palate and lengthy on the back end, this is an excellent Chablis that, while already drinkable, will evolve in positive fashion over the next decade. If you choose to pop the cork now, give it an hour or more of aeration. Drink now-2032.

Light yellow medium body (13%) wine. Fruity nose followed by apple, pear fruit with a hint of lemon. Very pleasant finish. Need to purchase more of this.

Pale yellow medium body wine (13%). Nice nose followed by a velvet combination of pear, apricot and apple fruit. Pleasant finish with a hint of lemon.
