Community Tasting Notes (1)

  • Decanted for two hours. Lots of cassis on the nose. Coonawarra clay. Classic eucalyptus, herbaciousness. Really rich red fruit.

Thick palate, really high acid, medium plus acid. Lots of acid for a red. More cassis and red fruit on the palate. Eucalyptus. This is an excellent example of a coonawarra cab, with plenty of stuffing for the long haul. Based on the acid, the fruit intensity, and the tannin, I would bury any other bottles deep. I’m bummed I don’t have any more.
