  • i think this fruit bomb has weakened with time. candied cherry and jam on the nose, with a bizarre ketchup aspect, which carries onto the palate. a nice lush mouthfeel with cherry, blackberry and oak, but no complexity and a medium- finish.

  • Very nice juice. Notes of blackberry, dark cherry and vanillin on the nose. Dark garnet in color with a cherry red rim. Tannins are still present but very well integrated. Finishes nicely but with a bit of excessive heat. The restaurant did serve it at room temperature which may have increased the heat sensation. Would definitely like to try their Reserva bottling.

  • Wow, this is showing really nicely last night/tonight! Very dark purple-red. floral-ish nose with cherry, blackberry, and other dark fruits. Not getting the chocolate or the tobacco I got a couple of months ago at a tasting. On the palate, this is a big round explosion of black cherry and 'roundness' of fruit. It's sort of like merlot that got huge with roundness and fruit flavor yet remains smooth. None of the vegetal flavors of cabernet nor the spice of syrah. Having said that, there is a little spice and heat on the 10-13 second finish. This is also the only place the moderately astringent tannins get your attention. Will definitely buy more of this one.

  • Nice black color. Strawberry and cherry nose (almost syrah-ish), vanilla and spice on the palate, short finish, almost grape juice-like. Not a super dry wine. Should be enjoyed very young. Minimal tannins.
