Opened, poured and let sit about 1 hr. Then: Maybe some dark fruit on the nose. On initial taste, the word that strikes me is "watery", and this carries through the finish and through the end of the glass. Fruit is darkish and in the background, sort of harsh at first, but maybe mellows by the end of the glass; acidity is OK; tannins begin to become noticeable by the end of the glass, but not a problem. Drinkable I guess, but not interesting and really nothing to like about this.

Decanted for over an hour. Stewed plums and meat on the nose, palate entails milk chocolate, pepper, dried cranberry (like the kind in trail mix), and stewed plums. Not bad for a cheap Bordeaux. Would have again.

Primarily all Merlot in this Lussac-St. Emillion Red. Dark garnet color. Big aromas and flavors of black fruit, eucalyptus, black licorice, baking spices and toast. (A bit yeasty) Very rich and concentrated. Full bodied and plush, but the tannins are soft and velvety. Quite fresh tasting. Thanks for letting us try this one, Kase.
