Just not feeling this one. My wife actually disliked it enough that she didn’t finish a glass - a rarity for her. I miss the first couple vintages of Pretty Horses, which had such lovely red fruit and a sense of fun. They were terrific. To me, the 2018 and 2019 both come across as dull, with the fruit elements hidden behind a flat savoriness.

Pretty consistent with first bottle—fairly light and pretty, light red fruits and not very tannic. Still maybe a touch of VA on night one and slightly better on night two.

Bottle 1357g. No capsule. Aromas of moderate intensity, lifted, black and red berries, vanilla, wood. Dry, with elevated acidity and moderate drying tannins. Sweet fruit. Medium-bodied, 13.2°. A little more volatile than I would like. Wants at least another year to settle down. 75% tempranillo, 10% grenache, 10% pinot noir, 5% graciano.

Didn’t make it a whole year since my last bottle, but curiosity got the better of me. This is coming along but still hasn’t hit its stride just yet. Maybe another 6-9 months?

Not the best night for the pretty horses. An off bottle and then the 2nd had an herbal/savory note that was a lot more pronounced than the other bottles we’ve had. Still solid but didn’t love as much as we usually do.
