  2018 much more fruit-forward than 2015 we drank at the same time. Good stand-alone wine for happy hour. Does not need food pairing to shine. Medium body, medium acidity.

  I like this juice. I really enjoyed the last vintage just a touch more but this one is certainly solid and enjoyable. May be on the high side for what I would look for in a red blend but this is nicely balanced, full-flavored and worthy of anyone’s glass. Nice red fruit nuanced by great oak application. Easy to sip on its own and good accompaniment to food as well. Just about perfect on a cold winter’s night.

  I definitely drank this too early. Don’t get me wrong- there was plenty of goodness in the bottle. When I enjoyed the last vintage it was bursting with flavor and drank like a velvet hammer. This also has the stuffing and flavor, but the texture I remember is just absent or not yet developed. I snagged a couple so I will hold on to the other as long as possible. Who knows, I just may have some romantic memory of how this tasted last vintage, like a first kiss or first date. I am a fan of Rocket Science and recommend without reservations to those who want to hop aboard for a wild ride.
