The Grand Cru Blanchot, located in the far east of the Grand Cru region, is less known and a bit of an outsider as it faces east and southeast resulting in a somewhat lower sunlight exposure. The wine is fermented and aged in stainless steel and used oak barrels. The wine is made in an elegant style with a light yellow color, a nice (and certainly not shrill) acidity and aromas of limes, peaches, well integrated oak and buttery tones followed by a fresh mid-long finish. A very good wine and, although young, it is (to my taste) perfectly drinkable now, but can be safely cellared for 5+ years. Diam cork.

Intensity medium. Citrus, pear, apple, cream. Acidity high. Finish medium(+). Proved too young to show full potential, but already a nice glass. (tasting at Domaine Long-Depaquit, Chablis)

Medium plus nose shows seashell, mushroom, walnut, funk, lemon peel. Palate shows even more, nicely expressive, classic profile, citrus and earth tones, honeydew, complexity has more than that to it. Great stuff.

Leesy/smoky nose with Manchego, oak, honey and some orchard fruits. Medium-bodied but full with a long, lingering finish. This is open-knit and ready to be drunk. Excellent 94
