Yum. Have not opened an OR pinot gris in awhile, and this is a nice, very representative example of the breed. Ponzis tend to be reliable, and this is no exception. Noticeable gout de petrol on the nose, but characteristically fainter then with an Alsatian example. Nice flint on the nose and palate, and ripe pear. Finish seems a little out of balance, but what the hell. Follow one of the reader's advice and pair this with food.

A nice example of OR Pinot Gris...aromas and flavors of stone fruits, carambola and pear. Medium bodied with a lingering finish. A tad bit too acidic to be drank as an aperitif, so make sure to pair with food.

Very pale color. Closed nose, faint hints of apple, lemon and a little mineral/stone. Medium bodied and quite plain tasting. Not very interesting, slightly hot tasting (13.6% alcohol) and not enough acidity.

KNL Tasting: I was disapointed in this wine. The nose is bright and steely. On the palate, fairly lean, with that steeliness coming in on the finish. A solid bottle, but not particularly interesting. 85-86

Still not much of a fan of this wine. Bitter on the finish. Has lost some much needed acidity. 83-85
