Very typical Corton, not too overbearing, body, masculine, herbs with a remarkably strong tone of tyme. Overall just a nice wine without too much complexity.

This started off somewhat reduced and with a hollow midle butt its came together over an hour in the glass and ended up a fine corton with sweet cherryy fruit and a full body. Still has room to grow.

Very well put together wine. Early in its drinking window but already very harmonious with bright red fruit, a touch of cherry pie, bracing but sweet tannins and a hint of baking spices. Job well done.

Medium garnet. Deeply pitched nose of liquorice, cool dark fruit, forest floor, spices. On the palate this wine is a positive surprise. I feared that the combination of Corton and the tannic 2005 vintage would make something difficult to drink. Quite the opposite. The fruit here enters the palate very lush and ripe with tannins polished. Young, but very drinkable now. This is what I like about Tollot-Beat, they make their wines elegant. May be not the last word on complexity but a very pleasant wine. Drink now with a short decant and easily over the next 10 years. 94+

Dried twigs/leaves, still a bit tannic.
