  • Coravin. 13% alcohol. Medium ruby, clear; medium intensity aromatics, red fruited; palate is medium body, red fruited, balanced acidity and alcohol; medium finish. Similar to my last 2 notes, this is a balanced and enjoyable burgundy but not particularly complex. 88
1 hr air: balanced out a bit, lovely fruit with balanced tannin. 89

  • Light-medium ruby, limited bricking for its age; aromatic, some spice, some floral, plenty of red fruits that are still youthful; palate is light-medium bodied, some Vosne spice throughout, tannins are medium-minus and a bit more textured than typical in Vosne, good red fruited flavor throughout with just a bit of fading in the midpalate which shows the tannins more, medium-plus acidity which balances well and provides freshness, medium-minus alcohol (13%); finish is medium length. I think perhaps a touch better than my last bottle, showing more spice and aromatics today, but overall impression is similar that this is a great everyday village-level burgundy with a good amount of age but nothing life changing. Nothing wrong with that... 89. Will certainly last 5 more years but may not evolve further.

  • Great Vosne nose--but not enough fruit and too much acid to be balanced right now. I think Tardy is a great buy in very ripe vintages but in perfect vintages it's a bit too acidic.

  • Minimal sediment. Light ruby but very little bricking and quite youthful for Pinot; moderately aromatic with fresh red fruits, just slight spice; palate is light bodied, elegant medium-plus acid, medium-minus alcohol (13%), simple red fruits, light spice; finish is medium-minus length. On one hand a very nice simple entry-level burgundy with restrained alcohol and fabulous ability to pair with food as well as a certain elegance, but on the other hand lacks complexity and the aromatics and spice common in Vosne. For $52, this doesn't offer value but I will continue to enjoy the bottles I have left for the next few years as this seems ready without much significant improvement ahead of it. 88
Day 2: didn’t hold up as well. Next time preserve with little bottles or a coravin, or drink on the 1st day.

  • Very nice Villages Vosne. Nice sweet red fruits. Vosne spice. Incredible QPR. The reviewer notes are conservative in their rating of this wine. This is an awesome wine!
