Purple-red ruby color. Aromas of plum, blackberry, dark cherry, licorice, tobacco. Medium body, high alcohol (16,5), medium- acidity, smooth tannins, some sweetness. Taste of plum jam, dark cherry, dark chocolate, spices. Long finish.

A 16.5% Primitivo without barrel aging, is this even possible? Full of sweet red berries and liquorice notes, with a deceptive smooth palate and sharp acidity to counter the otherwise quite chewy tannins. Not quite an everyday wine, but very interesting characters indeed.

Intense, very typical Primitivo. Red berries, liquorice, some floral notes, spices and plum. Opulent phenolic notes (16.5%!) and still robust tannins, but well structured. Should drink well over a decade.
