Beautiful Barolo from old vinest in the Vigna Rionda vineyard in Serralunga. This wine makes you feel like floating on a pink cloud covered in rose petals, wild strawberries, rose hip and raspberry. Liquid Love.

Vines from 1946. Three years in Botti. Really razor-sharp out of the glass with complex aromas where the fruit just crushes everything else and shows enormous concentration. The roses will be part of the play and fire up with all kinds of delights together with light autumn leaves, salt / crush stone and some forest tones. Good full-bodied, energetic and lively Vigna Rionda which is one of the best you get from the Barolo zone. Fantastic fruit of cherries, purple fruit peel, boiling tea, balsamic vinegar, anise, cloves and leather. Long, dense and complex finish that just tightens properly in a wonderful way. Firm tannins, yet in a forgiving and balanced way. The acid lives in the warmer vintage! Sublime Barolo!

Rose petal central on the nose. So elegant, perfumed and balanced. The palate has waves of fragrant fruits. It has intensity, power and richness without an excess weight. It builds through the palate and is so complex and sensual. Brilliant wine!

Maybe the greatest terroir of Barolo, the Musigny of Barolo always comes to my mind. What a fantastic Barolo, clear and bright red fruit with such a sweet core, white truffles, asian spice, rose petals...fantastic tannin management, so deep and elegant. One of the best Barolo wines out there.

Tasting: Great wine which was second only to the Borgogno Cannubi 2009 in this tasting.
