Medium to dark yellow color. Ripe peaches, banana, and licorice aromatics. Softly dry with A very ripe yellow fruit flavor. Has a rich texture and relatively low acidity, but sufficient for balance. Good varietal definition and fruit extract. Tastes like a purée of peaches and tropical fruit! Drink up. This wine hails from the Dahlonega Plateau, a new AVA created in 2016. Located in the rolling hills of North Georgia, I’ve tasted wines from this area for decades. It’s progressed from growing palatable Muscadine 30 years ago to promising vinifera wine grapes today. In white wines, Viognier, Marsanne, and Roussanne are surprisingly good. For the reds, only Cabernet Franc has consistently impressed me. This is an area to watch if you are a white Rhône wine enthusiast.
