Slightly nutty nose of toasted spices, like cinnamon and nugmeg. Sort of like a heavily spiced apple pie.
On the palate, the wine has elegant, yet quite high acidity. Very slightly yeasty, with orange peel and influence of the ageing on oak, with a restrained creaminess. Seems appropriately evolved for its age of seven years. Will probably change, but not improve (although I do not think it’ll degrade the coming five years). Great Jura Chardonnay, worth seeking out, if you can find it. Drank at the great restaurant 4850 in Amsterdam.

Deep golden, dense look. Yellow apples, smoked lemons, mature citrus fruits, smoky minerality, almonds. Deep and complex nose of high quality. Balanced palate with good acidity, lightly mature and polished. The 14,5% alcohol is not a problem at all. Very good. Day 2 the wine has lost a lot of the energy, feels heavy and the alcohol comes through. As always with the wines from Labet the quality is evident.

An athlete's Bday commemoration: Pretty oxidative and less fruit than expected. Acidity and stuffing are top notch

Beautiful Chardonnay. Explosive, pure, still tight mouth albeit it opens up in a caraffe
