14% ABV. No.52 out of 516 bottles made. PNP into Grassl Cru Burgundy glass (“Root” to “Flower” day): Pale bright ruby to the eyes, brilliant colors.
Showstopping Vosne spices in the purest form right off the the first pour, combo with juicy and regal bluish and red berry fruits with a unique floral note that is classic to this terroir in my opinion. This is a textbook definition of ethereal nose from a noble Bourgogne indeed.
Superbly integrated on palate already, driven by saline minerality and bright acidity that balances well with the light-footed, complex liquid with a long satisfying finish.
Wow what a perfect wine. 96 points easy here.
Second pour, 15 minutes upon opening, 4/5 left: As perfect as it gets on the palate with notes consistent with simply beautiful petite fruits and an unending finish. Such a hedonistic wine! 96-97 points.
Third pour, 1 hour 15 minutes upon open, 3/5 left, switched to Grassl Liberte Universal style glass: Such a clear difference on nose with more exuberant fruits and smoky notes. Just wow!
Fourth pour, 1 hour 30 minutes upon open, 1/2 left: going strong with such integrated oak notes with the exuberant fruit notes here. Simply speechless here.
Fifth pour, 2 hours upon open, 1/5 left: Even deeper notes of blue berries and darker toned sweet spices here.
