My first Petits Monts (aside of 2020 samples last year) from CLB. The 14s tend to have a bit of a robustness to them in general and also at CLB lately and this too felt a bit like it although there is beautiful florality and aeriness to this lovely wine and great typical young CLB red sexy cherry fruit with a solid expensive oak kiss giving it a creamy texture. Would love to revisit in a few years. To me a smitten behind Reignots 14.

A pair of CLB Les Petits Monts: Day 1: Served next to the 2015. This has similar aromatic complexity, not as broad / deep but perhaps airier, colder tones with lighter fruits profile (red over blue/black), more intense spiciness. This is immediately engaging on the palate: fresh, poised, precise, delineated with excellent acidity for the freshness and lift, perfectly ripe fruits (not as dense) and very refined, silky tannin. On day-1, most prefer the 2014 compared to the 2015, for its approachability.
Day 2: The acidity is getting stronger, and palate is leaner and we are not sure if this has shutted down. The 2015 is clearly overwhelmed the 2014 now.
