Small glass by Coravin. Expressive nose, mainly cherry, with a little spice. Darker in colour than previous vintages, but I'm not getting a sense of extraction the way some have noted.
More cherry, not too sour, on the palate, all quite primary for now, but expect more to come later. Another good and typical expression of Pataille wine. It seems a little more robust/less subtle than some previous vintages but that's not a fault for me anyway.

Expressive nose with spiced red cherry and raspberry. With air, black cherry notes came to the fore. Some earthy touches. Fine tannin structure and fresh acidity. Lovely fruit expression. Long, savoury-touched finish. Drinking well now.

Dissapointed with this one. Subdued nose. Quite straightforward, with red fruit (red cherry, cranberry, raspberry), med acidity and lowish tannin. Med finish. Nose did develop with time, but for me this lacked the complexity (and that funky edge) of the standard Pataille Bourgogne.
Possibly just needs more time. Will try leave my other two for 2/3 years.

Much better than the longeroies in my opinion - lots of dark fruits both palate and nose, very stable. Already very good for drinking now. I have enjoyed all of Sylvian Patailles wines so far - looking forward to more.
