1 hour slow ox. Nose: Still the same cinnamon qualities along with additive moss, a touch of fusile mineral and earth. Really solid aromatics! Palate: Quite soft and evolved at this point (versus last notes on 7/30/22) in terms of the tannins and acid levels. Cherries with leather and some dust. This bottle is the best of the 4 even though all have been good. In a perfect spot I would drink this up over the next year max. Now 90+ points and a great QPR at only $15/bottle.

As Mattshank noted, there is a touch of cinamon on the nose and a bit of leathery dust on the palate, with rather soft and subtle dried fruits. Acidity not as high as expected. A bit shallow in the middle. Medium finish. A mid rank, basic Chianti, albeit designated classico.
Popped and poured. A terrific value!! I don’t think I would pick this out as Sangiovese in a lineup. Some oak on the nose , but I don’t think there’s any new oak on this wine. Dark fruits and earth as well. Medium -bodied and refreshing on the palate . High acidity, consistent with Sangiovese, and a long finish . Punches way above its weight as a great QPR wine.

Pleasant Chianti Classico Riserva (DOCG) from Uggiano. Dark cherry red color in the glass with aromas of cherries, raspberries and plums. Elevated viscosity evidenced by the level and number of tears on the sides of the wine glass. On the palate, lovely flavor notes mirroring the wine’s aromas. Very good acidity with smooth finish. A classic Chianti Classico Riserva.

2 hour slow ox. Nose: Typical cinnamon aromas I often get in Chiantis along with stone minerals. Palate: Soft styled with grainy tannins, cherries, leather and dust. Light to medium finish. A pleasant little drinker that for $15 hits the spot and went great with marinated, grilled Kabobs and an Italian zucchini squash dish. 89+ points.
