  Very dark/ripe for Burgundy. Dark cherry/red raspberry/suggestion of orange peel/suggestion of oolong tea. Slightly stemmy towards the end

  Deep ruby color. Immediately fragrant nose with plums, black cherries, and clove. Soft tannins that are well integrated into this wine with relatively ripe fruit. Pleasant medium length finish. This was a pleasure to consume.

  This pours light purple in the glass. The nose unfurls to show lovely complexity displaying plum, dark cherry, black currant, chai tea, incense, cocoa powder, woodsy undergrowth, and a light touch of dried orange peel. The palate is youthfully structured showing the dark mixed berry fruit on entry with medium tannin and medium acid. The finish is medium in length replaying dark cherry and light whisks of spice. Very nice bottle that will be better in 10 or so years.

  En bouche c’est l’opulence attendue. Le fruit est mûr, gourmand et ici, à la limite de la surmaturité, avec toutefois une bonne acidité qui rehausse le tout et assure un bon équilibre. Sous le fruit, on sent une bonne colonne vertébrale, les tanins sont fermes mais plutôt soyeux. Un vin juteux, bien savoureux, qui a aussi de la profondeur, dont l’opulence est presque over-the-top! C’est l’antithèse du vin janséniste et en plus, dans la Bourgogne d’aujourd’hui, vraiment un excellent rapport qualité-prix (54.25$). 92+ pts
  
  Déjà agréable sur son gras de bébé, mais promis à une belle évolution sur une dizaine d’années j’imagine, peut-être plus.
