French white wine from Chablis: Chardonnay. 13,5 % alcohol. Fermented in 90 % stainless steel, 10 % new oak barrels. Aged for 9 months in barrels (228 liters) that are aged 1-3 years.
Pale golden/greenish color.
Delicate and crisp aromas of lemon, brioche, yellow apples, pears, minerals, sea, yogurt and white flowers. Crisp flavors of lemon, brioche, yogurt, green apples, green herbs, white flowers and minerals.
Dry. Full body. Medium+ acidity. Good balance. Very good structure. Good complexity. Intense. Airy.
Medium finish with green grass and minerals.
A very good Chablis Premier Cru. Mineral driven, crisp, structured and pure, with a nice intensity. Improves substantially with air, works good at both fridge and room temperature, works good with food (salmon) and on its own. Will improve with age. 92/100

This needs oxygen. It's still wound pretty tight, so it will probably improve with bottle age. It's more well-behaved in its youth than a lot of other serious dry, acidic whites, though.
After being open for a few hours, I'm amazed at how multi-faceted it is. It simultaneously smells like white peach, green apple, gravel, plastic, and honeysuckle. The palate is rich on the sides with a laser beam of acidity down the middle. Suberb complexity.
I'm really surprised how good this is for "only" $47. I normally don't think of Burgundy as a good value, but this could easily go head-to-toe with a lesser known GG Riesling. And I think it drinks better young, too.

Pale gold. Lemon citrus acidity up front which gives way to bracing, sparse saline. The acid gives this brightness and lightness, and the mineral content gives this a smooth, creamy, heavy viscosity. Together the acid and mineral mingle in a wonderful, active mouthfeel. This is both refreshing and interesting to drink. I drank this together with a grand cru from the same producer and I much preferred the sparse, mineral style of this.

Acidic with lemon notes. Very little earth or grass.
