Catalan Passport Wine Dinner (Catalan Tapas Bar (Cary NC)): 3rd Course: berbere seared ahi tuna with herb creamed spinach. Definitely the apex dish of the evening, however the wine didn't keep up. A fairly typical Oregon Pinot- earthy cherry and hints of baking spices, it was a little medicinal on the finish, but the food screamed for something less average. B (85) pairing.

We thought it was wonderful. No need to age, drinking nicely right out of the bottle!

6/19/2021 - xyc Does not like this wine:
Dark red, silent nose. Tart fruit over metallic stemmy (medicinal) taste. No resemblance to Pinot even Oregon Pinot says I. Enough said.
