Has integrated and developed well since its first scored opening in '21. Dark ripe berries and damson, suffused with dry spice (esp liquorice) and charred smokey nuances. Dusty tannins. Excellent. Plenty of time to enjoy - now (with a decent aerated decant) till 2028 at least. 91+

Clear medium ruby; clean medium plus nose of barnyard, plum jam, black licorice, slight green pepper and wood; dry; high acidity; high tannins; medium plus alcohol; medium plus body; medium plus flavour intensity; palate is tarter with addition of cocoa and a confected fruit note; medium plus finish; drink now or in a few years; not as good as our first bottle

Notes from PNP. Black color with a clear meniscus. Great nose - black licorice, tar, pine resin, blackberry. palate had similar flavor profile with full body, high tannins/acidity and nice long, mouth watering finish. 93-94.
Love this. 2nd of 4 bottles.

Outstanding Sagrantino DOCG wine. Dark cherry red color in the glass with wonderful aromas of dark cherries, plums, and black currants. On the palate, complex taste sensations of the dark red and black fruits noted above, plus a hint of smokiness, leather and chocolate. Enjoyed this wine on an second evening (well-corked)…the wine seems to exhibit even more complexity and depth of aromas and taste. A lovely wine.

Similar to last note,
Decanted around 4, drank over three hours.
Nice outbid the bottle, opened slowly.
