A light nose, hinting at pretty floral elements. A bit less than I expect for Bertheau, but perhaps this bottle is mostly closed on the nose. More depth and density come through on the mid-weight palate, with tart red fruit - cherry and strawberry, med-long finish, some dusty tannins. Not the strongest showing for this wine but clearly has some potential. I'm going to wait a few years before opening my next bottle.

Light ruby color. Bright and fresh fruit. Classic Chambolle. Solid acid backbone. Perfect balance for a village. My new house red.

SLDS April 2022: Black cherry, earth, spice and violets. Good weight to the palate, nice fruit depth and intensity. Showing well even this young.

Sappy black cherry, med acidity, burlier than I'd expect for Chambolle
