Bottled under Diam GC. This is but my second bottle of finished Côte de Beaune chardonnay, but I have to say how impressed I am with the quality of the vintage so far (also in Chablis). The nose is fairly ripe, with fruit that leans a bit in the tropical direction, and the oak use exposes a little coconut as well. The palate, however, shows remarkable balance between the ripeness and the acidity. It's definitely more electric than the few 2018 Jadots I've had and might even have the same intensity of fruit. The expected minerally tones of Puligny aren't quite on display yet though; they're likely hidden by the baby fat. The concentration and depth of this is impressive.
