  • First time with this producer.

Entry level white Burgundy, lovely. More on the acidic side than what I usually prefer but it got way better with more air.

Mostly citrus and green apples. Lenght was impressive at this price.

If you get to chance to put your hands on this producer, fire.

  • A rare wine, only 1,072 bottles produced, but it is more than worthy of our attention. I have heard the wines of Marthe Henry Boillot being described as "middle of the road" - and indeed its expression avoids extremes - but I think this is to misunderstand what this wine is all about. What really strikes me about this wine are the balance and harmony, the elegance and flowing finesse. Nothing is out of place, the (apple, pear and citrus) fruit and freshness, the savoury oak, the flowers and aromatic green herbs, and the hint of earth all play their precisely allotted part; the palate is shapely, well-defined, with just the right level of generosity and intensity; the finish is clean and invigorating. Excellent Bourgogne Blanc.
