Straight forward chambolle with some nice red fruit, I didn’t think it was too ripe as others have stated. Good acidity but not too much with some earth and wood showing through.

Followed over 3 nights. Started out with beautiful ruby clarity, with dark red cherries, a touch of apple skin and on the palate - pretty tight and wound up. Easy to tell this is very young and I believe will continue to improve for at least a decade. On night two it loosened up more - and as my brother noted has a great crystalline quality with violet candy and drying tannins on the finish. Night 3 the drying tannins faded more and allowed more of the Red Cherry and Violets to come forward - still had great florals on the nose. Great effort here at the Village Level.

Bold Pinot. Very complex and round full body. Leathery with Tones of cherries, earth, chocolate, mushroom.
A surprise for a Chambolle-Musigny or Burgundy for that matter. Burgundy outdoing California at bold pinots. Unique.
