  • Nearly five hour decant. Nearly opaque electric ruby color. Black cherry, plum, baker’s chocolate, bay leaf, violet, play-doh, and subtle coconut cake. Super smooth, dry, full bodied palate, with pixelated, mouth coating acidity. Very firm, full tannins on the long finish.

I cannot believe how good this young Cab is. It’s got great muscular fruit, lingering acidity, and impressive complexity. It’s built to age and is on a path toward a perfect score in 2-3 years.

  • Nose: Blackberry, dark cherry, sage, graphite, eucalyptus and crushed stone. There is a blue fruit element and floral nuance on the back end. Alc does poke through here a bit.

Palate: Big sweeping entry of blackberry, blueberry, cassis, graphite and crushed stone. A deep and brooding palate at the moment. Oak needs some added integration.

Finish: Goes on 90 seconds with blueberry, blackberry, cardamom, graphite and crushed tobacco. Very enjoyable as it lingers with a great inner mouth perfume.

  • Six hour decant. Very deep dark magenta color. Blackberry, black currant, leather, anise, chocolate cookie, and potting soil on the nose. Smooth, dry, full bodied palate. Very full tannins on the long finish.

Awesome end to an amazing wine weekend at Mark1NPT’s place. This will be crazy good in another year or two. It’s already quite impressive with a long decant.

  • My personal fav of the last evening......6 hour decant, dark magenta in the glass, black currant and black potting soil on the nose. Soft, smooth quality fruit with good integration of the soft tannins and balanced acidity. So good I ran out and bought another bottle before the store closed this evening.....J bought the other two.
