  • Quite golden in color. Nose — peach, pear, butterscotch. Quite intense on open and diminished fairly significantly in the thirty minutes I have had open. Palate — m+ acidity, quite a persistent finish. Peach, butterscotch, lemon, a little wood element. A touch acidic on front end, then dives in mid palate, with an acidic pop on the back end. Very nice mouthfeel. It does get better with air. Acidity is a bit high, it overshadows some of the complexity in the wine. Overall a very nice wine. Quite nice on day 2, still a lot of flavor and decent balance with acidity more in check.

  • Tasted after 30 minutes of air. Lively white peach. Doughy brioche notes. Limes. Hint of crushed gravel. Some honey here. Nice balance between the honey and acid. Excellent balance.

  • Delicious. Needs a little bit of air to open up. Faintly reminiscent of Chenin Blanc as it has a healthy dose of waxy lanolin on both the nose and palate. Some lemon and lychee fruit. Good body and acidity. Nice finish.

  • My last of three bottles. Fun wine if you are willing to sit with it and analyze. Very much a thinking style wine, not your typical Grenache Blanc.

Right off the bat (under screw cap) is a whiff of TDN (petrol). Normally that takes me to Alsace or Germany, but the weight here is undeniable Cali with its tropical kiss. In my opinion, Grenache Blanc normally is a bit subdued aromatically with a distinct pistachio/almond note at the finish. This is a viscous and commanding style (salted pineapple) without being flabbby before it channels that pistachio/almond vibe towards the end. Kind of a bigger version of Paso clariette Blanche. Fun to analyze. Drink up.

  • Beautifully ripe pineapple and guava with hints of jasmine, ocean mist, and warm sourdough in the bouquet. The palate is minerally slick and powerful with deep flavors and a prominent push of acidity to keep it vibrant. Long finish. Really nice.
