Medium ruby, filtered Aromatics medium. Initially a brief barnyard that blows off quickly. Fresh red cherry and dark raspberry. No new oak. Slightly candied character that developed significantly over time in the glass. No secondaries yet. Palate has a medium body. Acid medium +. Tannins medium +, medium grained. Alcohol medium. Cherries, candied and some chalk. Finish has medium length. Balance towards the tannins versus just right with food. Has all the typical cru Beaujolais qualities I'd expect with a little more tannins. I feel it is drinking well now, but everyone else feels it needs more time in bottle given tannins.

The wine didn't open for me and if I'd read the previous reviews I would have waited a couple of years to open it. Tannins, minerals, structure, and there's fruit waiting there and some baking spice (cinnamon? nutmeg?) peeking out. The other two I have need to go into the fridge to wait a more suitable occasion. Next day: more drying tannins ahead of promising fruit and spice. This wine will be a pleasure to drink in 2025 or thereabouts.

Thought this was great. Very Burgundian. Really interesting that it came in a Bordeaux style bottle.

Deep and dark for Beaujolais. Lots of tannic structure still.
