Having very limited experience with Finger Lakes Cabernet Franc, I was expecting more. Medium red and a bit of cabbage in the nose with only a faint hint of Cabernet Franc as compared to those from, say, Washington and Colorado that I've had. Nor is it Loire-like. It seems more like a Friuli-Venezia-Giulia Cabernet Franc but with an alcohol push. Taste is a bit tutti-frutti. Finishes with a slight bitterness.

Very young but very drinkable! Who knew? Lots of CF character with green pepper, mushroom etc. Plus some very bright red fruit; just the right amount of acid for certain foods. Tannins are there but don't get in the way, unlike most examples this young. Will definitely blossom but more than pleasant now. (second bottle, not a duplicate)

Day 1:
Red fruit (cherry and strawberry) on the nose.
Grippy tannins. Quite long finish.
Day 2:
More red fruit and increased presence of herbs on the nose. Not sure I ever got the typical green bell pepper from a cab franc.
Tasted more balanced. Good acidity and tannins have integrated.
Really enjoyed this with barbecued steak, corn and a kale and golden raisin salad.

On the light side for body, some green and spicy, not bad but I think they shine with their whites.
