Quite "mild" when first opened with limited nose and just hints of red fruit on the palate with a bit of tannin. But the second night: wow! Now we have a full-bodied CF: vegetal notes, esp. on the palate with plenty of structure and tannin still present. Should have decanted it the first night. Will probably continue to improve but now an excellent CF...with plenty of air/time.

Despite the cork having dried out somewhat (opened by waiter so not sure how well it was treated), this bottle was great. Initially a bit harsh with tannins still showing but quickly mellowed in the glass to an elegant, smooth, lovely wine. Bright red color, red fruit and some leather on the nose; rasberry, cherry, hint of oak, hint of tobacco on the palette. Lovely and will clearly continue to improve

As I have often thought we drink Finger Lake reds way too young. This wine has just come into its own - smoothed out and very pleasant with beef stew or on its own. Fruits are melding

Misplaced my notes but I remember it being surprisingly good for its age.
