Young but delicious Mountain fruit. Fruit and spice blend nicely with acid, but really needed a long decant to open up. I went 4 hours, but could have used half a day. I have 4 more bottles, and won’t touch again for a year or two. This one is gonna age out wonderfully.

2nd of 6 bottles and first since April 2022. Bumping this up a point since I last tasted. Overall, similar notes and color descriptors as cab lover below. I actually opened this on Friday and slow ox’ed in bottle for 6-7 hours. Had 1 small glass on Friday, but drank the rest of the bottle on Saturday and it was great. Glad I have more of these.

Very good Cabernet but it held back a bit versus last time. Grainy dark fruit, tobacco, slate, leather and graphite. Even after 4 hours this was a little tight. Probably just bottle variation as my last bottle was super expressive versus this.

Coravined a few glasses. Holy heck this is so delicious with DELICIOUS mountain fruit. Can’t put the glass down. And all I’m thinking is when to get a 6 pack of this ‘19. Rich, flamboyant, mountain character, herbs, graphite, bit boozy but eh I’m enjoying it. Hints of some minerals, vanilla and slate in there too. Good acid, good plushy finish.

Classic Howell Mountain
Mineral and dense fruit, graphite, and dried sage.
