My father use to be a member of their wine club and I really enjoyed their wines but then they raised their prices quite a bit. Came across some bottles at a nice price ($45) and decided to give it a shot. Dark ruby fruit - dark cherry, currants, blackberry, and some plum. Solid depth/concentration but the tannins need more time to soften/integrate. Decanted for a couple hours but that wasn’t enough. I’ll refrain from rating this bottle because it clearly needs time. We’ll see where it goes over the next couple days. Interesting that this wine is listed on the Winery website for $210. I might have to lay a couple bottles down at $45 to see where it goes over the coming years but I’m surprised that anyone is paying $210 - there are better options at that price point in my opinion. 98% cab and 2% merlot.
Decanted half the bottle, notes are from what was left in the bottle ~5 hours after pulling the cork. Nose is dark and meaty. Wine is much softer and better integrated than it was out of the decanter several hours ago, but tannins are rather heavy, indicating this could still benefit from several more years of bottle aging.
A very dark and introspective 90 today, this has the capacity to add a point door to as it comes of age.

Pop and pour. Nice grip on the stems. 30 mins after pulling the cork the nose is still closed, though there’s black fruit deep in the background.
Dry on the palate, this is slow to open but shows great potential. Will get a few more of these on close out for the future
