Sangiovese of vineyards rich in limestone, clay, Pliocene sands, mixed with volcanic stones, located in the village of Castelnuovo dell'Abate, very close to Mount Amiata. It ferments in concrete and has an aging of 6-7 months in 54 hl barrels of Allier oak. Ripe red fruit, spicy, balsamic, deep, structured, powerful, deep, juicy, mineral and persistent. Drink in 2024! Beautiful wine my friends!

A very satisfying bottle of RdM. Nose dominated by luscious sangiovese flavours and evident oak which is rather becoming. Full bodied and tasty it makes for a very nice food wine.

No formal note, a balanced sangio that leads to the thought of drinking a whole lot more from the Rosso di Montalcino area.
