This needs airing for about 2-3 hrs to get rid of some funky (leather-like) after taste. After that, it's rather nice. A bit on the sweet scale. Consistent with the previous bottle. Nose: Good 7/10. Palate: 8/10. Finish: 8/10. Price: 7/10 ($50 2023). Enjoyment: 7/10. Would buy again: try other vintages.

Compelling example of Willamette Pinot Noir made using true Burgundian method and approach. A little focus is rewarded with a lot of finesse and refined complexity. Not as much of a quaffer as some of its contemporaries, but makes an admirable pairing to roast fowl (we went with quail and it was glorious). Decanted for an hour, which I highly suggest, as the additional airing opens up the secondary and tertiary characteristics. Drinking very nicely now, but could easily develop even more nuance over another five years.

Thanksgiving Weekend in Willamette; 11/25/2021-11/27/2021 (Willamette Valley OR): Tasted at the winery. Ripe red fruit with good fruit intensity, very easy to enjoy, even if slightly simple.
