Kept this wine on the Wine Keeper, and it just keeps getting better. Dark fruit nose and palate, silky tannins, long finish. Just a pleasant wine. Paired well with a marinated Filet Mignon.

Compared to the PN, this one seems to have a bit more complexity though it’s a bit shy. Certainly less crowd pleasing than its PN sibling, the nose is blood, iron and briar fruit. On the palate, there is some structure with good acidity and some disjointed tannins. Would characterize as medium on both suggesting cellaring may improve the profile. More blackberry/briar here and finishes rather chopped off with some pepper and meat. Would say that this one is built to age a bit more than the PN of the same name though can’t say it will need more than five years to settle and reach it apogee.

I purchased 3 bottles with high expectations for this Syrah. black cherry, raspberry, black pepper. Nice wine and likely to improve more with time.
