  • A nice low end Chard with decent flavors, but not enough there to make our House list.A serviceable lunch white.

  • A delicious wine -- especially upon opening and with no food. Good fruit, floral, citrus, honeysuckle and some oak broiche on the finish.

Best on its own. Best cold. Pretty good with the swordfish. Not as good with the Norwegian salmon (sashimi and pan-grilled) or with the wild and long-grained rice in chicken broth with truffle oil.

    Maybe needs some roast chicken?

Good QPR for $20 / bottle. Drink now.

  • Captures the state of California Chardonnay today in a style that blends the traditional oak richness with fashionable freshness. More on the stone fruit spectrum, with flashes of citrus blossom and chamomile. Starts fresh and pinging, but builds weight through the palate with a big lick of tropical fruit and caramel on the finish. Nothing particularly unique, but nicely done and reasonably priced.

  • Rich yellow color. The nose sports richer tones of honey and almond with brighter tones of white flowers over yellow apple and kiwi fruit. Creamy yet focused on the palate with yellow apple, kiwi and lemon curd fruit. Notes of graham cracker and walnut, dried pineapple, but also salty, floral brightness, too. Rides a nice line and offers all Chardonnay lovers something. Aged 14 months in stainless steel and oak, 5% new.

  • Rich yellow color. The nose boasts yellow apples, lemon curd and peach, along with yellow flowers, whipped butter, salted nuts and sea spray. Bright acidity frames the wine well, with a creamy body, supporting lemon, yellow apple and apricot fruit. The bright tones of chalk and minerals balance well against nuanced tones of honey and salted almond. Balanced, pretty, lip-smacking Sonoma Coast Chardonnay. Aged 14 months in stainless steel and 5% new French oak.
