  I've said it before and I'll say it again, Utopos Winery from the Barossa Valley is among the best you can drink for around €50.
  Kym Teusner is a magical winemaker, managing parts of his vineyard that used to belong to the Penfolds, where some of the Cabernet Sauvignon grapes went to Bin 707.
  Tonight Utopos Cabernet Sauvignon Shiraz 2019, the grapes are distributed 50/50. Drank this wine 1.5 years ago, still young wine, fantastic dark fruit, wonderfully dry tannins and a finish that lasts for a loong time. Still needs about 3 hours in the decanter before it blooms. This will be great tomorrow…and in 5 years, or 25 years. Drink or hold for at least two years.

  I Love Utopo's wines, especially their Cabernet Sauvignon. This is their first vintage with 50/50 (Cab / Shiraz). This is of course young, but after 3-4 hours you start to understand how good this will be. I am absolutely convinced that Kym Teusner's wines will be the next big one from the Barossa Valley.
  What harmony this wine showed day 2, absolutely great fruit, dark blackberries, plums and black currants. What a length, the wine chews for a long time. The mix of Cab and Shiraz is brilliant. One of the better wines I have drunk in a long time 🍷🙏. I will save my remaining 4 bottles for at least 2 years before we try again, then the score will be 95-96 P (I hope).
