Again, a great Super Tuscan that pairs wonderfully with anything with Italian red sauce. This vintage probably has a couple really superb years ahead of it. Bit young so give it lots of air.

Recommend a good decant as it got a lot more complex towards the end of the bottle. good long aftertaste, great on its own. Struggled with the roast lamb.
This supertuscan is a blend of 70% Sangiovese, 20% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. Not decanted. We paired this with a homemade Cacio e Pepe. Deep purple color. This was a heavier red wine with notes of tobacco, licorice and black fruit. Still very young. I would give this a few years. 89 points

The Merlot & Cab actually tamp down the austerity and acidity a tad to an acceptable and the outcome is a wonderful Super Tuscan. Really great wine that is ready to consume earlier than a Chianti Classico. Highly recommend but more recent vintages would benefit from lots of breathing.

This was a wonderful accompaniment to spaghetti with tangy meat and tomato sauce.
Dark garnet colored, medium bodied,, bright expressive black cherry and berry fruits accented by tobacco and oak with hints of cinnamon spice with acidity and smooth polished tannins on a tangy finish.
