  • Consumed Feb 2023. Not decanted, but opened 30-45 minutes before drinking. This wine is young, but holds a lot of promise. Like most Barolos, it is a medium to light bodied wine, but with tons of complexity especially aromas. I noted bright red fruit, with some earth, significant minerality/earth, flower aromas (violets, roses?). velvety tannins. The pieces were all there but it was not coming together. very enjoyable, yes, but too young to be at its best. note: i am working from week old note from a ski trip and my memory is fading. Bottom line: buy more (at the noted price, a great value) but leave it for several years - at east 4-5, likely to improve for 10 or more, IMO.

  • Really decent young Barolo, easy to drink and tannins not too rough. Light cherry, wet stone, floral and after a long time in the decanter some cocoa started coming through. Surprising for the age and price
