Opened 2 hours in advance of dinner. The nose was all fruit. The palate was red cherry, plums, cassis and a hint of spice. The finish was moderate to long.

Took a bit of decant for this to start waking up. As one might expect, not showing nearly the refinement and depth of the Phelps Proem series wines, but still lovely. Dried cranberries and bing cherries on the nose, with a touch of vanilla, sawdust, damp cedar, cola and dried violets. Palate is fruit forward and acid driven, with very light tannin.

Maybe a little expensive for what you get, but still really good. Stayed good for three days after opening. Could use a pretty long decant.
