Wow, that was awesome. Fruit was still incredibly vibrant after 10 years, the tannins were in perfect balance, and the finish was rich and warm. A wonderful wine, drinking fantastically. If you have some, don't hesitate!

Blue fruit, toasty vanilla, and heat on nose. Palate shows lots of concentration with alcohol and tannin. Oak is only barely held in check by fruit. Mouthfeel is some unctuous but thin. Finishes with some bitter brunt prune, oak and alcohol. Decent at this point in its evolution. Perhaps regressing.

In a perfect spot. Full, rich, integrated oak and tannins. Tasting above its weight class.

This is quite nice tonight, although I think that it has softened to the extent of being abit on the flabby side. Otherwise, this is very enjoyable.
