My first "serious" Israeli wine and I was really surprised at the quality, especially for $30 or so (was a gift from a friend.) Especially being mostly Viognier, I was expecting a very fruity, perhaps soft-styled white; instead this was pretty chiseled with lots of cool stony/chalky minerality, somewhat reductive but still leaving a touch of room for the lemon custard, orange zest, vanilla, etc. Almost like a steely, flinty chardonnay character with more Chenin and Vio-like fruit. I could be underrating it, for the price. Deep and rich but still very serious.

Thanksgiving on the Mountain; 11/25/2021-11/28/2021 (Park City, Utah): Showing really well with tons of layered fruits (mango, peach, poached pear, lemon), a bracing acidity, nice rich body and a great granite like minerality. Drinking well but can see it doing just fine over a couple of years

Pale yellow gold Medium aromas and flavors intensity of pear, peach, banana peel, bitter grapefruit, mineral. Developing. Dry, high acidity, med abv, med body, long finish. Can drink now - suitable for further aging.
