Nose of wood and dark ripe fruit and brown sugar. On the palate, ripe dark berries, lip-smacking wood and medium-grip tannins. Medium-to-low acid balancing things. 13% alc. Just delicious. A touch more grown up than the more bodacious and also-tasty 20'.
A winemaker well worth a try.

The nose shows a bit of charred oak, but once you get past that, there are red berries and roses. I detect some oak on the palate, but again, you can get past that and find similar notes as the nose. Usually oak is a distinct turnoff for me, but it has enough fruit, florals, and herbs to push the oak to the background. On the second day, the oak had completely faded and what was left was deliciously pure.
