Burgundy Dinner at Wyncroft Winery (Buchanon MI): Forest floor aromas with licorice and dried thyme. Charming lingering red fruit stands just behind earthy flavors on palate. Long, well textured. Long and incredibly charming.

Holding up surprising well. This was clearly reminisicnt of the great Ponnelle mags from trips to Tampa, but probably one step below. Decent fruit, lots of floral and secondary notes. Would proably show better as a stand alone with a meal than in a big tasting like this.

Super sous-bois and black tea notes. Smoked meat, licorice, and red fruits on the front. Lighter body but still firm, with a patrician, delicate profile. In a really great place - very pretty wine.
