This 2019 vintage possesses so much energy and flavor. Although some will say this wine could use a little time to settle in, by my standards this wine is ready for business. Its “Booming” showing good extraction with dark red and blue fruits, dark cherry, berry, currant and plum flavors.
Big ripe fruit, delicious with Homemade, Black Bean Chili & Football. Yummy. 😋
Part of portfolio tasting at Carter Cellars. These wines are all about power. Heavy fruit and heavy oak throughout. All have a profile that are signature Carter. Used to love these, now find somewhat one-dimensional. Out of the line-up, I found Weitz approachable and balanced. The Mrs. rated top out of lineup for her (I trust her palate more than mine). Others I was with were really glowing about these wines, so likely just change in preference.

The second of six wines tried at Carter. Big floral nose with a red/purple color. Red and black fruit on the palate. Tannins are noticeable but very pleasant and should resolve with some time. Lush mouthfeel with good acidity. Will age nicely, but I slightly preferred the Fortuna.

Another great Weitz vintage for 2019. Much like the previous tasting, this wine is rich with dark red fruit, dark cherry, berry currants and a little bit of plum. Like the other 2019 Carters, this wine is ready for business. With a bright future looming ahead, this tasting experience was a very solid 95+ Points, yummy.
