A little oak on the nose. Waxy on the palate, medium+ acid cuts through nicely. Very slightly oxidative which gives a nice texture. Enjoying white rioja quite a bit!

Bright pale yellow color. Soft, estery, green banana on the Nose. Medium-light to medium bodied on the palate. Overall, not really my cup of tea with respect to the flavor profile: fuzzy metallic mineral, banana leaf, and elderflower. For my preferences -- for drinking by itself -- I'd like to see more acidity and brighter flavor profile, but we are dealing with an entry-level Rioja blanco here, so what's in the glass isn't atypical. It does bear mentioning that this paired very well with fresh homemade spring rolls (hamachi; shrimp; salmon) -- so well, in fact, I may rebuy specifically for that purpose. Gut impression score: mid 80s, but useful at the table, as noted.

Classic white Rioja from popular Haro winery G.C.; 75% Viura and 25% Tempranillo blanco used; wine is partly matured in French oak barrels for 5 months; golden yellow color, fruity and fresh notes, yellow plum, pineapple, ripe lemon, touch of vanilla; very enjoyable and nicely made wine, value for money
