Had this last night with soy/ginger marinated chicken and was a great match.
I haven't been fortunate enough to try the high-priced Cali Chards folks rave about mostly b/c I cant find them at retail, but I have loved stuff like Mount Eden Estate, Ramey chards, Eric Kent and some others.
The Frostwatch is now in my mini-pantheon of Left Coast Chards. The citrus fruit is so high-toned and reminiscent of a solid Chablis, sans the rocks/mineral component. In it's place is a very subtle vanilla note and just a hint of creaminess.
This is not an overoaked, heavy, cream/butterscotch laden chardonnay by any stretch. I would have guessed Chablis or even Sancerre. If you like racy whites, with awesome fruit - check a bottle of this out.
