Popped and poured into a Riedel Vitis Pinot Noir glass. Dark red and clear with mature rim. Savoury and meaty nose with receding fruits. Tinge of bitter on entry. Medium-full bodied. Sweetish and lacking in acidity. Confected, stewed fruits and chocolate on the palate with smooth tannins then giving way to cinnamon & cloying cloves. Alcohol is quite perceptible. Lacks balance. Anymore intensity and it would be sick. Badly stored bottle? Finishes short and simple but not expecting much here.

Extremely dark. Deep, brooding nose of spiced berries, oak, & alcohol. Thick legs & extremely viscous mouthfeel. Rich game meat notes up front, spicy midpalate, low acidity & soft tannin on the back. Nice length to the finish. Perhaps a bit overblown, but a well done, easy-drinking Aussie fruit bomb nontheless. [14.5% abv.; $19.00].

Opened and decanted for about 2 hours. Deep dark red wine. On the nose I smelled blackberries and currants. On the palate I noticed spices and lots of tannins and oak. This is a tannin heavy wine even after 2 hours of decanting. It was enjoyable to drink and would pair well with hearty food.

Texture riche et pleine. boisé assez présent. Rien de subtil mais agréable à boire
