"2015" Sydney International Wine Show - stewarding notes; 10/11/2014-10/16/2014 (Blue Mountains, NSW): {screwcap, 15%} (option – Warren) Aging red berries and sweet nutty oak. The palate presents developing black fruits and vanilla, with blueberries, although it gets a bit ‘claggy’ in texture after a while; fairly low acidity is responsible for this, combined with some alcoholic heat and medium/full-bodied weight; the balance is largely towards the front palate, and it manages a medium length finish but it lacks freshness somehow; a drink-early style for me.

On opening it smelt awkward. But absolutely pleasant on the tongue. Smooth as silk and seems to be maintaining its consistency. Cracking addition to the cellar that has maintained it's quality through its life.

This is a solid 90.Like previously noted, this is fun to drink,on the nose some strawberries, almost like a lipstick.Full body, the heat does bother a little, but if you get the right temperature you'll get the best out of this wine. It's not the kind of wine that will surprise you...but it's worth trying..

Really good on the nose with very ripe and sweet blackberries, hints of oak and bacon. On the palate, this is full bodied with very ripe fruits (almost sweet), a bit hot and alcoholic with high acidity and medium aftertaste. This is tasty and juicy wine that could be even better if it had less than 15% alc. Recommended! 90+

Almost beyond its use by date. But still holding some of those delightful tones I remember. The remaining 7 need to be drunk before Xmas ....?
